Four years ago today my heart broke into a million pieces. I didn’t know how I would go on. I sat and cried every day. I carried on here in her honor. Without our journey we wouldn’t have met some of the greatest friends, “our family”. This past May I continued the journey and met some of them in Virginia. I am so glad that we got to meet.
Sassy, I miss you every day. I know one day we will see each other again. When we do it will be a joyous reunion. Thank you for bringing Snickers and Jasmine to help heal my heart. It doesn’t mean I don’t still have you in it but my heart has healed. It took time. I still miss you and love you.
Those of you who don’t know Sassy crossed the Bridge the same day as Karma’s Brendol. Sassy and Brendol are great friends like Karma and I are. I know that in my heart.
So I wanted to share a picture. My friend made me this shirt. I posted a picture of a shirt I liked and she kind of designed this one from that.

This is a very sweet and heartfelt tribute to your sweet Sassy. The hardest part of loving them is knowing we will lose them one day. She is your guardian angel now and is always with you. Rotties have a way of stealing your heart, there is just something about them. My thoughts and prayers are with you today.

I actually have to remind myself that I’ve never met Sassy in person. Through all these wonderful vlogs and posts through the years, I felt like I DID get ro know Sassy just as though I had met her in person many times over!
As you know, I have that PERFECT sketch of Sassy’s “essence” framed and sitting in a special pllace in my home. Jim and Rene got to see it, as did Teri and Elizabeth during the Va Pawty! 🙂 Everyone was touched to see her “here” in Virginia! I’ll never forget Jim’s expression when he walked in and saw her. With sheer glee in his voice, a touch kf surprise, and a huge smile on his face, he said “That’s Sassy!!! You have a picture of Sassy!!” He though that was pretty darn special…as do I!! 🙂
I’m soooo glad you keep her log going with updates on her and how she still touches your life…and ours!! I don’t think there’s any new Rottie member who hasnt been told about Sassy’s journey and who hasn’t been inspired by her and vy the specail vond you two shared.
I also love that Sassy so graciously shares her blog with Bosch and Jasmine and Snickers. She’s so tickler with her choices of the TEO girls for you!! And so pleased that Bosch helps you keep them in line! 🙂
But Im especially grateful that Sassy shares YOU with all of US! 🙂 🙂 🙂 She proudly lives on through you and all the love and kindess you share with each of us. You are such a gift ot us and to this entire Tripawds Community….and you are a gift to those facebooger people too!!! 🙂 🙂

BTW Michelle, I always love seeing pictures of Sassy Sugar Bear. But that one of you two in black and white is sooooo precious. One of my all time favorites!
And SWEET BRENDOL will always be remembered here too! And she brought us Karma and all the love and kindeness she shows to each of us. The “album” that Karma put together with Paul Simon singing in the background will be my at the top of my list of all time smile making videos!
Two BEAUTIFUL Souls went to the Bridge in the same day……we all grieved hard that day. But we smiled knowing they were together and knowing thst theirnlives rouched us all in a positive way.
Been thinking of you since Sassy’s Angelversary Michelle, it’s hard to believe four years have gone by. There are so many changes but one thing will stay consistent: Sassy’s blessings on the Tripawds Nation. She and you both have touched so many lives during these last four years, there is no way to quantify the comfort you have brought. She may be an angel but she is working just as diligently to make sure that others know that a cancer diagnosis is NOT the end of the road.
